Heritage purchased the 550 Broad Street tower in 2000 and completed a multi-million dollar renovation and re-positioning there in 2001. In 2005, the firm aligned with a German investment group, selling 80 percent of its interest in 550 Broad Street to the and retaining 20 percent ownership. The company maintains its position as executive operating partner and on-site manager for the building. With its visible signage east from Route 21 and unobstructed view of the Manhattan skyline, 550 Broad Street today is recognized as a distinct symbol of Newark’s downtown commercial district renaissance.
