When Heritage purchased 570 Broad Street in 2003, this 14-story building had sat vacant for seven years. The firm launched a $5 million renovation at the property in early 2004, resulting in one of Newark’s most modern, Class A office addresses. Two years later, six tenants had signed long-term commitments at 570 Broad Street, with many relocating to the building from outside of the city. In a strategic move that enabled Heritage to pursue other opportunities in the local market, the firm sold the building, which had substantially increased in value, to Ivy Equities in mid-2006.
